What to Expect the First Few Visits

Patient Forms

Upon arrival to our office, we will welcome you as a member of our family. We will ask you to complete and review paperwork, sign any privacy notices and complete a pain drawing.  We anticipate your entire first visit to take approximately one hour.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Mike Martin to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care can help you meet your health care goals.

Examination

After your consultation, you will have a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well.  We recommend you wear loose fitting clothing for comfort.

X-Ray Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you and alert us ofany serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

Report of Findings

Once all of the information is collected; the doctors will give you a detailed report of findings and answer any questions including:

1.       How can you help me?

2.       How often do I need to come in?

3.       How long do I need to come in?

4.       What will my treatment cost?

Our intention is to provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs. After the doctor has reviewed your examination findings, X-rays and determined that Chiropractic Care can help your healthcare issues.  He will recommend that you have your first adjustment.  Many patients feel significant relief after their first adjustment, other patients experience relief after several adjustments.
